From Artwork By Kids to Pediatric Office Furniture: More Than 20 Years of Creating Spaces Kids Love

Sometimes a business begins with a big business plan.

Ours began with a simple observation: children deserved better spaces.

Back in 2004, my sister Melanie and I noticed that many pediatric offices were filled with artwork and décor that felt dated and uninspiring. These were places where children were often already nervous about seeing a doctor or dentist, and we thought their surroundings could feel happier, brighter and a little less intimidating.

That idea became Artwork By Kids.

We began creating colorful children's artwork designed specifically for pediatric environments. What started with artwork eventually opened our eyes to something much bigger.

From the Walls to the Whole Waiting Room

As we worked with more pediatric practices, we began looking beyond what was hanging on the walls.

The furniture mattered too.

The colors mattered.

The layout mattered.

And most importantly, how the space made a child feel mattered.

In 2010, that vision grew into Pediatric Office Furniture.

Today, we help pediatric and dental offices, therapy clinics, hospitals and other family-focused facilities create spaces that are colorful and fun while still being comfortable, durable and practical for everyday use.

One of My Favorite Parts: Choosing the Colors

This is still one of the parts of the business I enjoy most.

A customer may know they need new waiting room chairs but have no idea which colors will work together. Someone else may be starting with an empty office and wondering where to begin.

That's where we can help.

We can look at photos of your office, talk about the feeling you want for the space and help coordinate furniture, vinyl colors and finishes.

And because colors can look very different on a computer screen, vinyl samples are available so you can see the actual materials before making your final choices.
